INSPECTION DATE FOR TEMPORARY INSTRUCTION 2515/148, INSPECTION OF NUCLEAR REACTOR SAFEGUARDS INTERIM COMPENSATORY MEASURES - PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION

Dear Mr. Overbeck:

In the mid-cycle assessment letter transmitted on August 26, 2002, the NRC indicated that a follow-up letter would be needed to describe the dates for implementing the temporary instruction that would be used to verify compliance with the NRC Security Order issued on February 25, 2002.

Temporary Instruction 2515/148, Inspection of Nuclear Reactor Safeguards Interim Compensatory Measures, was issued August 28, 2002. The NRC has scheduled an inspection using this temporary instruction, at your facility January 13-17, 2003.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
