On June 14, 2002, Carolina Power and Light (CP&L) Company submitted an application for renewal of the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant (HBRSEP), Unit No. 2, Operating License in accordance with 10 CFR 54.
To help facilitate review of the license renewal application by the NRC staff, a review tool has been created and is being provided as an enclosure to this letter. The review tool is applicable to mechanical and civil systems, and consists of files in the Portable Data File format. The CD ROM transmittal form included as part of the enclosure identifies the specific files that comprise the review tool. Also included with the review tool is a copy of the October 23, 2002, training presentation regarding use of the review tool.
CP&L is providing this review tool to help facilitate a more efficient review of the HBRSEP, Unit No. 2, license renewal application by the NRC staff. This review tool is not considered part of the formal application for license renewal.
