Salem Generating Station Units -1 and 2 Docket No. 50-272/50-311 Amendment to Facility Operating License License Change Request S02-12 i I The subject request was submitted to the NRC in a letter from PSEG dated September 20, 2002. The request proposes to revise the Salem Technical Specifications TS 3/4.7.11 Fuel Storage Pool Boron Concentration, TS 4/4.7.12 Fuel Assembly Storage in the Spent Fuel Pool, TS 3/4 5.6 Design Features, and TS 3/4.9 Refueling Operations, by establishing a minimum boron concentration in the spent fuel pool to >2300 ppm, and transferring the concentration specification for the Reactor Coolant System during refueling operations, to the Core Operating Limits Report, in accordance with the provisions of the Improved Standard Technical Specifications for Westinghouse plants, NUREG-1431.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering has reviewed the request in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91 (b) and has no comments.
