Items for Discussion with NMP in Regards to CRD Expansion Repairs
- 1. Discuss all of your rolled and rerolled repairs, i.e., to date, how many housings/stub tubes have been rolled and rerolled.
- 2. Verify that thirty-two of the thirty-three repaired housings at NMP-1have not leaked since repair in up to 18 years of service.
- 3. Discuss your last refueling outage inspection results of the subject CRD housings/stub tubes.
- 4. Discuss how the CRD roll repair is consistent with your Technical Specifications.
- 5. The staff only approved this alternative to the Code as a temporary fix. What do you consider temporary now that there is a permanent weld repair available?
- 6. With respect to the Code, what are your plans for performing a permanent weld repair?
