1 END OF CYCLE 15 REFUELING OUTAGE Summary:

McGuire unit I began the month of September operating at approximately 100% power until 09/05/02 at 0400 when the unit began phase II T-AVG coastdown to end-of-cycle 15 refueling outage. On 09/13/02 at 1500 the unit ended the coastdown and began decreasing power to end-of-cycle 15 refueling outage. The unit was taken offline on 09/13/02 at 2248 to begin end-of-cycle 15 refueling outage. The unit remained in the end-of-cycle 15 refueling outage the remainder of the month (1) Reason A - Equipment failure (Explain)

McGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION MONTHLY OPERATING STATUS REPORT AUGUST 2002

Personnel Exposure The total station liquid release for AUGUST has been compared with the Technical Specifications maximum annual dose commitment and was less than 10 percent of this limit.
