SUMMARY
The unit began August 2002 operating at or near 100% power.
On August 3, 2002, the unit downpowered to 97% power to perform main turbine control valve testing. During the power ascension on August 3, 2002, a leak was discovered in the chemical and volume control system. A plant shutdown was commenced at 1213, the main generator was taken off-line at 1612, and the reactor was shutdown at 1630 on August 3, 2002. The reactor was made critical at 1400 on August 6, 2002. The main generator was placed on-line at 0128 on August 7, 2002. An automatic reactor trip due to steam generator low water level occurred at 1033 on August 7, 2002, when the plant was at approximately 55%
power. The reactor was made critical at 0944 on August 10, 2002. The main generator was placed on line at 1937 on August 10, 2002. The unit operated at or near 100% power for the remainder of August 2002.
