We are reviewing your 7/1/02 response to our RAI. Our reviewer Rich Lobel would like to have a telecon with you on these discussion points:
The July 1, 2002 letter described the calculational method used to determine the acceptable number of inoperable vacuum breakers. However, it did not address the request for any comparisons of this calculational method with data. We would like to know if there are any such comparisons, and if so, whether they can be provided. If they exist, are they proprietary?
If there are no comparisons with data, are there comparisons with another computer code such as the GE SHEX code?
This e-mail aims solely to prepare you for a telecon. It does not convey an NRC staff position, nor does it formally request information. We will discuss disposition of these discussion points during the telecon.
