LIMERICK GENERATING STATION (LGS), UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2, EMAIL FROM LICENSEE FORWARDING DRAFT RESPONSE TO NRC REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (RAI) (TAC NOS.

On June 24, 2002, I received an email from Ms. Debra Reese of Exelon Generation Company, LLC (the licensee), responding to questions discussed in a conference call on May 3, 2002, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and the licensee (see Agencywide Documents Access and Management System accession no. ML021910212). The conference call was held to discuss the review of a license amendment dated February 15, 2002, regarding changes to setpoints for the reactor water cleanup system leak detection instrumentation. The NRC staff discussed the email with the licensee on June 24, 2002, clarifying that the NRC does not comment on the content of draft licensee responses. The NRC staff did provide the licensee general feedback on the scope and breadth of their draft response. The licensee stated that they will finalize the RAI response and submit it for staff review in the near future.
