SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE Nine Mile Point Unit Two operated with a capacity factor (MDC) of 102.13% and an availability factor of 100% for the month of May 2002.
On May 12, 2002, at 1726 hours0.02 days <br />0.479 hours <br />0.00285 weeks <br />6.56743e-4 months <br />, an unplanned power change was performed in response to feedwater heating level control problems. Reactor power was lowered to 75% of rated in accordance with plant operating procedures to a condition where feedwater heater level controls were more stable. Repairs were made to feedwater heater level control valves 2HDL-LV24B, and 25C. Level transmitter 2HDL-LT4C was replaced. All repairs were completed and the plant was returned to full power operation at 2257 hours0.0261 days <br />0.627 hours <br />0.00373 weeks <br />8.587885e-4 months <br /> on May 13, 2002.
There were no challenges to the safety relief valves during this reporting period.
