Dear Mr. Merschoff:

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is evaluating an application to construct a proposed landing area located approximately 6,000 feet from the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant near Glen Rose, TX.

Enclosed are the application, sketch, and other pertinent information that will help you evaluate this proposal.

We have discussed this proposal with Ms.

Linda Howe, Chief, Response Coordination of your staff.

The FAA is requesting your review of the proposal.

If you have an objection to the proposed landing area, we request that you provide us with the legal, regulatory and/or administrative basis for your o~jection. We are requesting your comments by June 24, 2002, to this proposal in order for us to respond to the proponent.
