Pursuant to the Licensing Boards Order of May 13, 2002, directing the Staff to advise the Board and parties of the status of Staff action regarding Generic Safety Issue 189, this is to advise you that a memorandum to John T. Larkins, Executive Director, Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS), entitled: RES Proposed Recommendation for Resolving Generic Safety Issue 189: Susceptibility of Ice Condenser and Mark III Containments to Early Failure from Hydrogen Combustion During a Severe Accident, and supporting documents, has been placed in ADAMS and is available to the public.
