WAIVER REQUEST AND NOTIFICATION OF UNITED KINGDOM CITIZENS AS SRO CANDIDATES
Dear Mr. Warner:
This is in response to your letter dated January 14, 2002 concerning the waiver request for United Kingdom citizens.
The Office of Nuclear Regulation has determined that no waivers or exemptions to the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 55, Operators Licenses are required for the individuals in question. Non-US citizens are not prohibited from obtaining an operator or senior operator license. These individuals are subject to the same requirements that all applicants applying for unescorted access to a nuclear facility or access to Safeguards information must meet. Please see enclosed Report on Interaction (ROI) I-2001-14 which summarizes your actions related to this area..
