Submission of Intermediate Milestone 01405.071.210, Acceptance Review Report, Diablo Canyon-Final Letter Report
Dear. Mr. Delligatti:
The Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses (CNWRA) staff have conducted an acceptance review of the Diablo Canyon Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) Safety Analysis Report (SAR) and the technical specifications. The acceptance review was carried out according to the applicable NRC regulations in 10 CFR Parts 20 and 72 and was supported by NUREG-1 567, Standard Review Plan for Spent Fuel Dry Storage Facilities; NUREG-1536, Standard Review Plan for Dry Cask Storage Systems; Regulatory Guide 3.62, Standard Format and Content for the Safety Analysis Report for Onsite Storage of Spent Fuel Storage Casks; and Regulatory Guide 3.61, Standard Format and Content for a Topical Safety Analysis Report for a Spent Fuel Dry Storage Cask.
Based on the acceptance review, the CNWRA staff found that the Diablo Canyon SAR has provided sufficient information to docket the Diablo Canyon ISFSI License Application.
This letter fulfills the requirements for the subject milestone which is due March 18, 2002.
