Dear Mr. Barron:

This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Brian Dolan of your staff and myself on February 20, 2002, concerning a McGuire self-assessment which has been scheduled for June 6, 2002, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss your assessment of performance at the McGuire Nuclear Station. The location of the meeting will be at the NRC Region II Office, 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Suite 24t20, Atlanta, GA.

This meeting is an open meeting as per "Staff Meetings Open to the Public; Final Policy Statement" (September 20, 2000; 65 FR 56964).

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
