SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT (STP), UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION OF ADMINISTRATIVE ERRORS AND OMISSIONS REGARDING AMENDMENTS 138 AND 127 APPROVING UPRATED CORE THERMAL POWER AND REVISING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (TAC NOS. MB2899 AND MB2903)
Dear Mr. Cottle:
On April 12, 2002, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No. 138 to Facility Operating License (FOL) No. NPF-76, and Amendment No. 127 to FOL No. NPF-80, for the STP Units 1 and 2, respectively. The amendments consist of changes to the FOLs and the Technical Specifications reflecting the approval of increase in core thermal power from 3,800 megawatts thermal (MWt) to 3,853 MWt.
Through administrative errors and omissions, the FOLs paragraphs 2 C (1) (Maximum Power Level) was not corrected to reflect the uprated power, the item 3 of the Amendment 138 for STP, Unit 1 had an error of the date of implementation, the attachment to the license Amendments 138 and 127 incorrectly showed the revised page 6-22 as an overleaf page, and consequently the revised page 6-22 did not reflect the new Amendment numbers.
We have made the above corrections and enclosed for your use the corrected FOLs pages, Unit 1 amendment pages, amendments attachment page, and page 6-22 showing the corrected amendment numbers. We regret any inconvenience caused by the above errors and omissions.
