Technical Specification 6.9.1.2.a requires a tabulation on an annual basis of the number of station, utility, and other personnel (including contractors) receiving exposures greater than 100 mrem/yr according to work and job functions. This data is based on self-reading dosimetry results and is presented on page two of this attachment. Specific tasks included in the Special Maintenance work and job function are listed on page three.

Additional Information
- 1.
The South Texas Project includes two 1250 MWe Westinghouse four-loop pressurized water reactors.
- 2.
During 2001, Unit 1 completed its tenth refueling outage, IRE10. Outage IRE10 involved refueling and baseline eddy current testing of four steam generators.
- 3.
Outage IRE10 was completed in 21.6 days with a total dose of 90 rem. The following are major activities that occurred during this outage.

Steam Generator Testing and Maintenance Activities (40.7 rem) b)
Refueling Maintenance Activities (10.2 rem) c)
Reactor Coolant Pump Maintenance and Modifications (8.7 rem) d)

- 4.
During 2001, Unit 2 completed its eighth refueling outage, 2RE08. Outage 2RE08 involved refueling, maintenance of four steam generators, and preparations for steam generator replacement.
- 5.
Outage 2RE08 was completed in 26.9 days with a total dose of 118 rem. The following are major activities that occurred during this outage.

For 2001, eleven individuals exceeded one rem deep dose equivalent with the highest exposed individual receiving 1.576 rem by electronic dosimeter records. All eleven individuals worked both refueling outages.
Plant Projects includes motor operated valve testing, snubbers, in-service weld inspections, non-intrusive check valves, local leak rate tests, and jib crane modifications.

Unit 1 and Unit 2 have not exceeded the limits of Technical Specification 3.4.8 for the calendar year of 2001.
