We are essentially done with reviewing your 10/19/01 amendment application. Our reviewer Audrey Hayes made a number of observations and would like to discuss with your people in a conference call:
ODCM, Change #21
- 1. You changed the word "or," (NUREG-1302 3.11.4.a) to "and" in the third sentence of proposed TS Section 3.6.15.d, page I 3.1-24 (Controls) of the proposed ODCM.
- 2. In the same section, you omitted NUREG-1302 3.11.4.a descriptive wording regarding the content of the special report.
TS, Change 36
- 1. Proposed TS 6.12.1.d.1: You proposed alternate wording (radiation monitoring and indicating device) for the NUREG-1433 wording (A radiation monitoring device that continuously displays radiation dose rates in the area.) You subsequently use "radiation monitoring and indicating device" throughout the remainder of the proposed TS.
- 2. Proposed TS 6.12.1.d.2: You proposed alternate wording (alarming dosimeter) for the NUREG-1433 wording (A radiation monitoring device that continuously integrates the radiation dose rates in the area and alarms when the devices dose alarm setpoint is reached...) You subsequently use "alarming dosimeter" throughout the remainder of the proposed TS.
- 3. Proposed TS 6.12.1.d.4(b): You omitted the NUREG-1433 7.7.1.4 (ii) wording "...and with the means to communicate with individuals in the area who are covered by such surveillance."
- 4. Proposed TS 6.12.2.a and TS 6.12.2.1.2: You omitted "continuously" with respect to NUREG-1433 5.7.2.a wording "..shall be provided with a locked or continuously guarded door or gate..."
- 5. Proposed TS 6.12.2.d.4: You omitted NUREG-1433 5.7.2.d.4 wording "...in the area."
