April 1, 2002 Mr. G. R. Peterson Site Vice President Catawba Nuclear Station Duke Energy Corporation 4800 Concord Road York, South Carolina 29745-9635
SUBJECT:
CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 RE: CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NOS. 193 AND 185 (TAC NOS. MB2332 AND MB2333)
Dear Mr. Peterson:
The Commission issued Amendment No. 193 to Facility Operating License NPF-35 and Amendment No. 185 to Facility Operating License NPF-52 for the Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, respectively, on September 11, 2001.
The amendments deleted Technical Specification (TS) Section 5.5.4, Post Accident Sampling, for Catawba Nuclear Stations, Units 1 and 2, and thereby eliminated the requirements to have and maintain the post-accident sampling systems. The amendments issued TS page 5.5-2 without reflecting the changes of Amendment Nos. 192 and 184 dated July 31, 2001. Enclosed is corrected page TS 5.5-2 to Amendment Nos. 193 and 185.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions regarding this, please call me at 301-415-3025.
Sincerely,
