REPORT ON TRIP TO BRUNSWICK DATES OF VISIT:
February 27, 2002 PURPOSE OF VISIT:
Meet with resident inspectors and meet with licensee management INSPECTORS OBSERVED: Ted Easlick SENIOR LICENSEE PERSON CONTACTED: Neil Gannon, Director of Site Operations OBSERVATIONS NOTED WITH PLANT: Toured Unit 1 with Ted Easlick. There was a lot of activity due to the refueling outage beginning on Friday March 1. Made a comprehensive tour of Unit 1 and the control room. Overall Unit 1 looked in good material condition for a unit that had been on-line for over 700 days. The plant did not appear to be limping into the outage all equipment appeared to be functioning normally.
OTHER COMMENTS: The licensee had no concerns with the inspection program. Discussed inspection program and the cable spreading room sprinkler system issue with the residents.
Also toured cable spreading rooms.
