PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF AUGMENTED INSPECTION TEAM 50-483/2002-07

Dear Mr. Randolph:

This refers to the public exit meeting conducted in the Callaway Plant Emergency Operations Facility on February 27, 2002. This meeting was held to discuss performance issues identified during the augmented inspection team conducted between January 28 and February 6, 2002.

The inspection was performed to evaluate the root causes and corrective actions associated with the failure of an auxiliary feedwater pump on December 3, 2001.

The attendance list and presentation material are enclosed (Enclosures 1 through 3).

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
