SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN)

UNITS 1 AND 2 2001 ANNUAL REPORTS OVERVIEW Occupational Exposure Data Attached is the exposure data for personnel at SQN that received greater than 100 millirem between January 1 and December 31, 2001.

The numbers of personnel listed in the attached report are calculated fractions based on personnel and Radiation Work Permits code classifications.

Exposure data for special maintenance is based on the following activities:

"* Walkdowns for Unit 1 Steam Generator Replacement

"* Change Out Unit 2 Containment Air Radiation Monitors

"* Reactor Coolant Pump 2 Platform Modifications

"* Install Component Cooling System Relief Valves on the Spent Fuel Pit Heat Exchangers Replace GEMAC Component cooling System Level Transmitters wit~aosemount Instruments

"* Clean, Inspect, and Paint Interior of Unit 1 Primary Water Storage Tank

"* Modify and remove Remote Valve Operators (Reach Rods) on Various Systems

"* Replace Unit 1 Upper Internals Guide Tube Support Pins (Split Pins)

"* Modify Upper Internals Lift Rig Personnel Platforms for Units 1 and 2

"* Replace Unit 1 Cold Leg Accumulator Level Transmitters

"* Remove Unit 1 Positive Displacement Charging Pump and Room Cooler

"* Install Permanent Connections forMansel Level Indication System

"* Elevation 706" Railroad Bay Access Floor for Dry Cask Storage Loading

"* Replace NAMCO Conduit Seals with CONAX

"* Add Piping for remote Reactor Coolant Pump Oil Fill The cumulative radiation exposure for calendar year 2001 for persons receiving more than 100mrem/year is ll8.110rem. The total whole body exposure received from external sources for calendar year 2001, as measured by TLD, is 143.289rem.

As required by the respective units' Technical Specifications, at least 80% of the total site exposure has been assigned to specific major work activities.

During 2001, there were no specific iodine activity results of Unilt or Unit 2 RCSs exceeding the limits of Technical Specification (TSý.4.8.a (0.35 mCi/gm) during either power operation or reactor shutdown and/or start-up.
