SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO.

50/395 UNIT V. C. SUMMER I DATE 01/09/2002 COMPLETED BY W. H. BELL TELEPHONE (803) 345-4389 DECEMBER 2001 At 22:33 on December 7 th a reduction to 91% reactor power began to support planned main turbine control valve testing. 91 % power was reached at 23:25. Valve testing was completed and 100% power was restored at 04:37 on December 8 th At 09:25 on December 9 th, a reduction to 98% reactor power began to support repairs to the No. 1 B feedwater heater level transmitter probe. Problems with the Magnetrol level transmitter probe on ILT03773A required the replacement of the probe. 98% power was reached at 09:36.

Transmitter probe replacement was completed and 100% power was restored at 23:22. The plant operated at 100% power at all other times during the month.
