OF THE SEPTEMBER 26, 2001, MEETING WITH AMERGEN ENERGY COMPANY, LLC ON OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION CONCERNING THE HANDLING OF HEAVY LOADS OVER IRRADIATED FUEL (TAC NO. MB1747)

On September 26, 2001, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a meeting open to the public with AmerGen Energy Company, LLC (AmerGen), the licensee for Oyster Creek.

The meeting was held at the NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues associated with the proposed Technical Specification Change Request (TSCR) 281 and other handling of heavy loads and reactor building crane issues. is a copy of the agenda used for the meeting. Enclosure 2 is a list of the meeting participants. Enclosure 3 is a copy of AmerGens handout on the proposed TSCR 281. is a copy of AmerGens handout used to discuss the seismic analysis of the Oyster Creek reactor building steel superstructure and modification. Enclosure 5 is a letter dated September 26, 2001, from American Crane & Equipment Corporation authorizing the NRC to copy and distribute the handout contained in Enclosure 6. Enclosure 6 is a handout used by AmerGens consultant and supplier, American Crane & Equipment Corp. (ACECO), to discuss the single-failure proof hoist system at Oyster Creek.
