50-369 and 50-370 Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Pursuant to 10 CFR 72.212(b)(1)(i),
Duke hereby notifies the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of Duke's intent to store spent nuclear fuel under a general license as stipulated in 10 CFR 72.210.
Duke plans to use the TN-32A Dry Storage Cask System which was issued Certificate of Compliance No.
1021, effective April 19, 2000, by the NRC pursuant to 10 CFR 72.238.
The Reactor License Nos.,
as requested by 10 CFR 72.212(b) (1) (i),
are NPF-9 and NPF-17 for Unit 1 and Unit 2, respectively. The ISFSI is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2001.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91, a copy of this correspondence will be forwarded to the appropriate North Carolina State Officials.
