I. SECY-07-0193 - PG&E CO. (DIABLO CANYON ISFSI), DOCKET NO. 72-26-ISFSI, SAN LUIS OBISPO MOTHERS FOR PEACE'S CONTENTIONS AND REQUEST FOR HEARING RE DIABLO CANYON ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT SUPPLEMENT The Commission approved a Memo randum and Order re sponding to the admissibility of contentions raised by the San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace in the Diablo Canyon independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI) proceeding. The Memorandum and Order admits Contentions 1(b), and 2 in part, declines to admit Contentions 1(a), 3, 4, and 5, and sets a procedural schedule. Commissioner Jaczko dissented in part because he would have also admitted contention 3. Commissioner Lyons dissented in part because he would have rejected contention 2. (Subsequently, on January 15, 2008, the Secretary signed the Memorandum and Order.)

II. SECY-07-0214 - PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION LICENSE RENEWAL PILGRIM WATCH'S APPEAL OF INERLOCUTORY BOARD ORDER SUMMARILY DISPOSING OF CONTENTION 3 (SAMAs) (LBP-07-13)

The Commission approved a Memorandum and Order which denies a request by Pilgrim Watch for interlocutory review of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board's summary disposition of one of two contentions in the license renewal proceeding for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station. (Subsequently, on January 15, 2008, the Secretary signed the Memorandum and Order.)
