A License Amendment Request (LAR) is the process of requesting that the NRC change the plant Technical Specifications or Facility Operating License
The whole process takes about 1 year to complete.

- Plant specific
- TSTF (a pre-packaged amendment) with plant specific technical input
- CLIPP are TSTF with little or no technical input
