Letter from NRC,"Order Approving Transfer of Licenses and Conforming Amendments Relating to Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Unit Nos. 2 and 3, Hope Creek Generating Station, and Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2"dated May 30, 2006 In the referenced letter, the NRC approved license transfers involving the transfer of PSEG Nuclear LLC's ownership interests in Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Unit Nos. 2 and 3 (Peach Bottom), Hope Creek Generating Station (Hope Creek), and Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, (Salem), and its licensed operating authorities for Hope Creek and Salem to Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon). The license transfers were associated with the proposed merger of Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) into Exelon Corporation.
__ On September_14, 2006, Exelon Corporation and PSEG announced that the proposed merger was terminated. Accordingly, PSEG withdraws its request for conforming amendments to the Salem and Hope Creek facility operating licenses to be issued and become effective at the time the merger is consummated.
