Box 236, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey 08038-0236 NOV 2 3 2004 SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION LR-N04-0518 0' PSEG Nuclear LLC U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-0001 CONFIRMATION OF IMPLEMENTATION OF APRIL 29, 2003, ORDERS SALEM AND HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATIONS DOCKET NOS. 50-272,60-311, AND 50-354 FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NUMBERS DPR-70, DPR-75, AND NPF-57 On April 29, 2004, PSEG Nuclear filed a Supplemental Response to Order EA-03-086 that contained the Physical Security Plan, the Contingency Plan, and the Training and Qualification Plan as required by Order EA-03-086 for Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations. In response to NRC comments, that response was supplemented on July 13, July 28, August 12, October 1, and October 19, 2004.
By letter dated October 28, 2004, the NRC issued a Safety Evaluation Report (SER) documenting the NRC's review and acceptance of those plans. Upon review of the SER for the submitted plan, PSEG Nuclear discovered discrepancies between the SER and the Security Plan. This letter identifies the pages that contain discrepancies and provides corrections to that SER. The discrepancies contained on the attachment are limited to the sections that incorrectly attribute statements to the Security Plan.
PSEG Nuclear will submit a letter certifying compliance with the Security Plan after the discrepancies in the SER have been corrected.
