SUBJECT:

Revision of Commitment Date for Recommendation 2.3, Flooding Walkdown Due to Inaccessible Areas On November 27, 2012, the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) submitted its 180-day response (Reference 3) to the NRC Request for Information Regarding the Flooding Aspects of Recommendation 2.3 of the Near-Term Task Force Review of Insights from the Fukushima Dai ichi Accident (Reference 2). In Reference 3, Enclosure 1, OPPD noted that sixty-four (64) flooding features (i.e., penetrations and walls) could not be accessed for inspection due to ongoing modifications in the Intake Structure. In Reference 3, Enclosure 2, OPPD committed to complete the walkdown of these sixty-four (64) flooding features by March 31 2013.J Flooding walkdowns of fifty-seven (57) of the sixty-four (64) deferred items have been completed . However, because of ongoing modifications, seven (7) flooding features remain inaccessible at this time. OPPD will complete the flooding walkdowns of the remaining seven (7) items as soon as they become accessible for inspection.

Because personnel cannot complete the inspection of the remaining seven (7) items by the Reference 3 commitment date (AR 52024-09), OPPD is revising the date to June 1 2013. J Employment with Equal Opportunity
