Subject:

Withdrawal of Licensee Event Report 2012-011, Revision 0, for the Fort Calhoun Station By letter dated August 6, 2012, Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) submitted Licensee Event Report (LER) 2012-011, Revision 0, "Emergency Diesel Inoperability Due to Bus Loads During a LOOP," for the Fort Cal'houn Station (FCS). A vendor study of peak current due to dead load pickup has determined that the FCS emergency diesel generators are capable of performing their design function even if non-safety related contactors are not credited for isolating power to associated loads. As a result, OPPD is withdrawing LER 2012-011 and this number will not be reused.

No commitments are being made in this letter.
