Additional Mitigative Measures to Fulfill Requirements of Interim Safeguards and Security Compensatory Measures Order Requirement B.2(a)2 In Reference 3, Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) stated that the NRC would be notified by August 20, 2002 of any additional mitigative measures necessary to fulfill the requirements of Reference 2, Order Requirement B.2(a)2 at Fort Calhoun Station Unit No. 1 (FCS). OPPD plans to institute vehicle searches per the guidance of Reference 4 on Reference 2, Order Requirement B.2.b no later than August 31, 2002. This is being done in order to ensure that elements specified in Reference 2, Order Requirements B.2(a)(2) and B.2.b are protected. OPPD has determined that no further mitigative measures beyond this and those already implemented are necessary at FCS.

This letter contains the following commitment:

  • Institute vehicle searches per the guidance of Reference 4 on Reference 2, Order Requirement B.2.b by August 31, 2002.
