Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
The above reference requested that C-E provide our analysis of the need for PORV's in the System 80 design, giving consideration to the draft SSER input prepared by the Division of Systems Integration and the probabilistic risk analysis performed by the Division of Risk Analysis.
C-E has conducted a review of the System 80 design with respect to its cap-abilities for rapid depressurization and decay heat removal.
Enclosed is a sumary of C-E's review, including conrnents on the draft SSER and the PRA. We will be happy to meet with the Staff to discuss the issues involved.
