I Docket No. 50-335 Inservice lns ection Pro ram Florida Power Bc Light Company (FPL) letter L-85-I49, dated April 5, l985 requested NRC's approval for extension of the first ten year inspection interval for St. Lucie Unit No. I, due to the extended outage for the core barrel repair, which began on February 26, I 983 and ended April 16, l 984.
Section XI of the ASME Code, incorporated by reference in Section (b) of IO CFR 50.55a "Codes and Standards", allows for such extensions of the inspection interval for extended continuous outages of six months or more.
The current inspection interval expires on December 2I, l986.
In FPL letter L-85-I49, an extension to June 30, l987 was requested.
- However, upon re-evaluation, FPL is requesting extension of the inspection interval to February I I, l 988, as allowed in Section XI of the ASME Code.
