St. Lucie Unit 1
Docket No. 50-335 Radiolo ical Effluent Technical S ecifications On November 5, 1982 (L-82-490), Florida Power and Light Company submitted revised Radiological Effluent Technical Spec ificati ons (RETS) for St.
Lucie Unit 1.
Because these RETS were to be as close as practi'cable to the St.
Lucie Unit 2
RETS (which were undergoing NRC review and approval at that time),
they were submitted in a
marked up form as requested by your staff.
- However, due
. to confusion resulting from the marked up form, and due to additio'nal changes to the Unit 2
Attached is a revised St.
Lucie Unit 1
RETS submittal.
The RETS changes have been integrated into the current technical specifications to facilitate your review.
All of the
- changes, indicated by change
- bars, are RETS changes and/or for consistency with Unit 2
technical specifications.
Please note that on page 6-11, items e.
and f. of the current Unit 1
technical specif ications have been deleted.
This is consistent with Unit 2 technical specifications and provides resolution of the concerns identified in NRC Generic Letters 82-17 and 82-23.
Also please note that page 6-20a provides the High Radiation Area technical specifications which is essentially the same as what was requested by Letter L-77-388, dated December 21, 1977.
In that NRC has not taken action on this,.FPL is hereby withdrawing the December 21, 1977 request.
