IE Eulletin 81-02, supplement Florida Power & Light has reviewed the supplement to IE Bulletin 81-02 (fai'ure of gate type valves to close against differential pressure) and has detennined that one W-EMD valve is installed at St. Lucie Unit 1.This four inch valve (V-2525) Ts installed in the chemical and volume control system.
St. Lucie Unit 1 is currently, however, in a refueling outage and the subject valve is not required to be operable in Modes 5 and 6.
We are now in the prvcess of verifying the capability of this valve to close under its current limiting nonnal and post accident service condittoas in accordance with the Bulletin.
