Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 Docket Number 50-346, License Number NPF-3 Submittal of Post Examination Materials in Support of Recently Completed Initial License Operator Examinations
Enclosed is a list of the post examination materials that are being submitted electronically for the initial licensed operator examinations that were administered during the weeks of January 8 and 15, 2024 at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS).
The listed items are being submitted to the NRC for review and approval in accordance with 10 CFR 55.40, "Written Examinations and Operating Tests - Implementation" and NUREG-1021, Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors (Revision 12).
After the Written Examination was completed, the Applicants participated in a review session to determine if enhancements to the questions were necessary. Results of this review indicate no enhancements are required prior to reuse. During the exam review, the applicants provided no substantive comments.
Post Examination analysis indicates potential generic training program weaknesses (Questions missed by 50 percent or more of the Applicants; Questions 6 and 13).
Investigations of these potential generic weaknesses are being tracked by the DBNPS Corrective Action Program (CR-2024-00474).

No changes were made while administering and grading the examination. Mr. Kyle P.
Turco, Exam Facility Reviewer, has confirmed the quality of the grading and he concurs with the individual and collective examination results.
