Joseph Jensen Site Vice President Florida Power & Light Company 6501 S. Ocean Drive Jensen Beach, FL34957 Re: Florida Power & Light Company St. Lucie Plant Administrative Order AO-022-TL Heated Water Plan of Study &

Biological Plan of Study

Dear Mr. Jensen:

On December 12, 2014, the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) received Florida Power & Light Company's request to end the monitoring activities offshore from the St. Lucie Plant that were required under an Administrative Order (AO-022-TL). These monitoring activities are part of the Heated Water Plan of Study (HWPOS) and the Biological Plan of Study (BPOS) required by Conditions 17 and 20, respectively, of the Administrative Order.

The Department concurs that the HWPOS monitoring requirements stipulated in Condition 17 of the Administrative Order have been satisfied. As discussed with Mr. John Jones, the Department also concurs that the BPOS monitoring requirements stipulated in Condition 20 will be satisfied upon successful completion of the scheduled monitoring event in January 2015.

If you have any questions concerning this approval, please contact either Bala Nori or me with any questions at (850) 245-8589.

Sincerely, Marc Harris, P.E.
