Dear Sir:
This application for an amendment to the James A. FitzPatrick Technical Specifications proposes a revised schedule for visualinspection of snubbers. The proposed inspection schedule is consistent with the guidance provided in Generic Letter 90-09 ( Reference 1).
FitzPatrick Technical Specification Section 4.6.1 currently specifies a snubber inspection scheduto based on the number of inoperable snubbers found during the previous inspection and limits the inspection Interval to eighteen months. As outlined in
- the NRC's generic letter, the proposed schedulo is based on the_ number of unacceptable snubbers found during the previous inspection in proportion to the s!zo of the various
. snubber categories and increases the maximum inspection interval to forty eight months.
