This application for an amendment to the James A. FitzPatrick Technical Specifications changes Specifications 4.9.C, " Diesel Fuel

  • and 4.12.A.1.1, *High Pressure Water Fire Protection System
  • on pages 218 and 244c. These changes revise the diesel fuel quality values for water and sediment and ash to reflect the current industry i

standards provided in ASTM D975-81.

I An additional change is also proposed to Bases 3.9.C, " Diesel Fuel," on page 224 to clarify the design basis of the Diesel Fuel Oil Day Tanks and Storage Tanks. This change is purely administrative in nature and improves the clarity of the Technical Specifications by deleting extraneous information.

This proposed amendment completes the Technical Specification changes roquested in SSFI Report 89-80 (Reference 1) Items 4.8.2.2 and 4.8.2.8.
