INSPECTION NOS. 50-353/97-01
Dear Mr. Smith:
This refers to your June 6,1997 correspondence, in response to our January 9,1997 letter.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter. These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program.
It is our understanding, based upon a discussion between Mr. R. Boyce of your staff and Mr. Neil Perry, NRC Senior Resident inspector, on June 26,1997, that a 10 CFR 50.59 review for the modification to the Unit 2 fuel preparation machine will be completed by July 31,1997. If our understanding is incorrect, please notify Mr. Perry within seven days of your receipt of this letter.
