Radioactive Waste Systems - Procedures The licensee's Administrative Order A0-ll-3 Radioactive Waste Control, Revision 6 was revised in accordance with the licensee's procedures effective August 15, 1978. The order defines the responsibility and procedures for the administrative control of radioactive waste. The Radiation Protection flanual - Radioactive Waste Control, Revision 7_ was revised in accordance with the licensee's procedures effective April 17, 1978.

This document provides tha implementii,g procedures for the control and disposal of radioactive waste. The revisions provide for the same or an increased level of control.

Examination of gaseous and liquid radioactive waste discharge records confirmed that effluent control procedures were followed.

Radioactive Waste Systems - Q.C. and Confirmatory fleasurement A simulated particulate filter sample prepared in 1974 by a flFC contractor was supplied to the licensee at the beginning of the inspection.

Prior to the conclusion of the inspection, the results of the licensee's analysis were examined and found to be not in agreement with the decayed calibration value.

In view of the age of the sample supplied to the licensee by the inspector, the licensee was infomed that a recently calibrated sample would be supplied in the near future, fio items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

18. Tour of Facilities The inspection included a tour of the auxiliary and fuel building.

The tour included examination of areas for posting and access controls, labeling of containers and general conditions. With the exception of small areas clearly identified by posting, barriers and step-off pads, the facility was accessible in street clothes.

a result of flooding during May 1977 (IE Inspection Report 50-344/77-06, Paragraph 15.a) has been decontaminated and is accessible in street clothes except for limited areas.

No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.

19.

Exit Interview The inspectors met with licensee representatives (denoted in Paragraph 1) at the conclusion of the inspection. The inspectors summarized the purpose and scope of the inspection. The licensee was informed that no items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.
