INSPECTION 05000320/2005008, GPU NUCLEAR INC., THREE MILE ISLAND UNIT 2, MIDDLETOWN, PENNSYLVANIA
Dear Mr. Byrne:
On June 6-7, 2005, Ms. Laurie Kauffman of this office and Ms. Kristina Banovac of the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards conducted a safety inspection at the above address of activities authorized by the above listed NRC license. The inspection was an examination of your licensed activities as they relate to Post-Defueling Monitored Storage and to compliance with the Commissions regulations and the license conditions. The inspection consisted of observations by the inspector, interviews with personnel, and a selected examination of representative records. The findings of the inspection were discussed with you and members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Within the scope of this inspection, the NRC did not identify any violations. Post-Defueling Monitored Storage activities were being conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and license conditions.
