Dear Hr. Fitzpatrick:
This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated July 14, 1994, in response to our letter dated June 15, 1994, transmitting a Notice of Violation associated with Inspection Report No. 50-315/316/94012.
This report summarized the results of an unannounced fire protection inspection.
The information requested pertained to the failure to remove or cover combustible materials within 35 feet of welding, brazing, cutting, and grinding activities.
We have reviewed your corrective actions and NRC commitments and have no further questions at this time.
The inspector noted at the time of the inspection that extensive corrective actions were well underway at the conclusion of the inspection.
As a result, this violation is considered closed.
Your final corrective actions will be examined during future routine inspections.
