270 AND 287 The attached report of an inspection of the subject facility by our inspectors on November 3-5, 1969,'is forwarded for information. There were no items of nonconformance detected during the inspection.
A program has been developed by Bechtel for repairing the containment building liner plate laminations reported in CO Report No. 50-269/69-8.
This problem is considered resolved.
Two nonconformance items, detected during the previous inspection, involving welding procedure and welder qualification practices have been corrected.
With ' he arrival of the second Unit 1 steam generator scheduled for December t
and the Unit 1 reactor vessel scheduled for January 1970, the construction pace should pick up considerably within the next two or three months.
