RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE - NRC ROUTINE INSPECTION
REPORT NO. 50-225/2014-201
Dear Dr. Caracappa:
From January 14-16, 2014, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission)
conducted an inspection at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The inspection included a review of activities authorized for your facility. The enclosed report documents the inspection results, which were discussed on January 16, 2014, with member of your staff.
During this inspection, the NRC inspectors examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to public health and safety to confirm compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selected examination of procedures and representative records, observations of activities, and interviews with personnel.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter, its enclosure(s), and your response, if you choose to provide one, will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System, accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
