January 24, 1990 The subject revision has been prepared to reflect:
(a) organizational changes which have occurred since Revision 12 was issued; (b) clarification of responsibilities for the positions of the
- Manager, Operational Assurance Programs (paragraph 1.3.2. 1) and the Manager of Nuclear Safety Assurance (paragraph 1.3.2.3),
the Manager of Nuclear
- Safety Assurance is a
new position; (c) responsibilities related to procurement of spare and replacement items to the Manager, Engineering System Support (paragraph 1.3.4.3);
(d) added additional Nuclear Operation Standards cross referenced to
- 10CFR50, Appendix B, (Table 2-1);
(e) clarified how evaluations of vendors are performed, (paragraph 7.2.3);
(f) clarified the qualification requirements for Licensing and Assurance
- Director, (Appendix I. 1) and added qualification requirements for Plant
(}uality Control Manager, (Appendix I.4).
The above described changes have been evaluated and determined that they neither involve a reduction of commitments previously accepted by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, nor do they involve a
reduction of
()A/gC responsibilities previously assigned to the Licensing and Assurance organization.
The Supply System intends to implement the changes, if no response is received within sixty (60) days from the date of this transmittal.
