In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.75(f)(1), Energy Northwest hereby reports the status of the Columbia Generating Station decommissioning funding:
x 2024 Estimated Radiological Decommissioning Cost: $698.9 Million x
After-Tax Fund Balance as of December 31, 2024: $508.1 Million x
Decommissioning Funding Schedule: included as the Attachment x
Assumed Cost Escalation Rate: 4% I year x
Assumed Interest Rate: 6% I year x
10 CFR 50.75(e)(1)(v) Customer Contracts: Not Applicable x
Changes in Financial Assurance Method: None x
Material Changes to Trust Agreement: None.
The following conditions are reflected in the 2024 Estimated Radiological Decommissioning Cost:
x The value for the estimated radiological decommissioning cost of $698.9 Million does not include state costs or Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) decommissioning costs. Decommissioning costs for the ISFSI are submitted separately in conformance with 10 CFR 72.30 requirements.
