Dear Sir or Madam:

By Reference 1, Energy Northwest requested the renewal of the Columbia Generating Station (Columbia) operating license. Via Reference 2, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requested additional information related to the Energy Northwest submittal. Via Reference 3, Energy Northwest provided response. On December 15, 2010, the NRC Project Manager, via e-mail, requested clarification on RAI 3.1.1.57-01.

We have confirmed that the main steam line flow restrictor parts made for General' Electric (GE) were fabricated using a centrifugal casting process (for austenitic stainless steel).
