| Title | Automatic Actuation of Auxiliary Feedwater System |
| Event Description | The following information was provided by the licensee via email:
On October 18, 2023, at 1116 [EDT], with Unit 1 in Mode 5, an automatic actuation of the 1A auxiliary feedwater motor driven pump occurred when an incorrect action resulted in an automatic start signal. This event is being reported in accordance with 10 CFR 50.72(b)(3)(iv)(A) as an event that results in a valid actuation of the auxiliary feedwater system. Feedwater is not needed for plant conditions, and the 1A auxiliary feedwater pump did not feed the steam generators. There was no impact on the health and safety of the public or plant personnel. The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified. |
