| Title | Loss of Ens and Commercial Phone Lines to Control Rooms |
| Event Description | At 1915 CST, Dresden personnel identified that the ENS phone was not operational, either with outgoing or incoming calls. The NRC Ops Center was contacted via the normal commercial phone system and informed of the situation. Call back from the NRC via the commercial phone line failed as Dresden is currently not receiving outside phone calls due to the failure. A call back method through BPO [Bulk Power Operations] has been established. The phone problem appears to be not at the Dresden Site, SBC [local phone provider] is initiating repairs. Current off-site communications are being augmented via personal cellular telephones.
The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector. |
